Playing as an Ensemble with Ready Set kaDON!

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This workshop series focuses on deepening our listening abilities and ability to play in an ensemble through practicing the piece ‘Ready Set kaDON’. Developing listening skills is absolutely critical to ensemble playing but often not focused on in the rush to learn repertoire. It’s also difficult to develop drills and techniques around. In this workshop we dive right into a step by step process that starts with re-examining how we use kuchishoka to learn and internalize patterns. By the end of this workshop participants will have new tools to practice their listening skills and be ready to perform ‘Ready Set kaDON’ for the special 10th Year Anniversary Performance at NATC-R Seattle.

Prerequisites: Participants must know one of the parts of Ready Set kaDON and be able to play through the piece before attending the workshop.
